Through interactive presentations and round-table discussions with former MA students, this session will present three case studies of successful collaborative programs developed between MA Art Curatorship and MA Art Management programs at the University of Melbourne and local creative industries. The first case will focus on the partnership between the University of Melbourne and the Australian Center for the Moving Image, ACMI X that provided a robust platform for industry placement research internships for graduate students. The second case will discuss an experimental Industry Engagement Learning Project (IEL) implemented in 2018 as a part of the graduate course AMGT90004 States, Governments and the Arts. The IEL Project engaged 32 students to participate in a collaboration with the industry partner, Stoneclap Company, to organize an experimental community event – Digital Performance Culture Now, that brought together local and international artists with the help of teleconference technologies. Finally, the presentation will showcase learning achievements of several graduate students who participated in the accelerator program at the University of Melbourne in the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre, Translating Research at Melbourne (TRaM). In May - June 2019 the  team of 3 graduate students under my leadership successfully passed 2 stages of the TRaM business accelerator to explore an opportunity for a development of a research consultancy start up to target the cultural sector and  offer innovative digital and data-driven solutions for strategic planning and audience development.
