Jaleesa Renee Wells Ph.D. is an artist, entrepreneur, and transdisciplinary scholar investigating the margins between culture, society, and enterprise. Dr. Wells is an assistant professor of arts administration at the University of Kentucky, where she designs and delivers courses on leadership, legal environments, equality, and creative social entrepreneurship in the creative and cultural sector. Dr. Wells’ current research projects, presentations, and publications focus on the development of creative and cultural social enterprise ecologies; anthropologies of Black women’s cultural organizing; and phenomenologies of work, art, and gender in the academy.
