Mary Filice is Chair of the Business and Entrepreneurship department, Columbia College Chicago. She has been a visiting professor to colleges in Oslo, Norway and has conducted academic talks at universities in Beijing, China. Mary presents and writes about leadership in the creative industries, arts management education models, and artistic convergence as both an aesthetic and business model. Through her consulting practice Mary provides strategic planning advise to arts organizations and is on the Advisory Board of Shattered Globe Theater. She is actively involved with the Piven Theatre Workshop where she is an improv ensemble member, actress, and director. An award-winning filmmaker, Mary’s work has aired on PBS (WYCC), cable television, and has screened at festivals in the US, Canada, and Europe. In 2010 Mary completed the Harvard University Graduate School of Education’s Management Development Program and in 2011 she earned a Certificate in New Media Management from USC’s Marshall School of Business. Mary holds an MA in Film and Video from Columbia College Chicago and a BA in Theater from Loyola University.
